The disease

Why it matters

Obesity is one of the most common nutritional disorders in veterinary medicine and affects between 30% and 60% of dogs worldwide, a figure that keeps rising in urban areas.

It shortens life expectancy by 1.5 to 2 years and promotes chronic disease such as diabetes, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, while reducing mobility, mood and vitality.

Target and mechanism

What the vaccine does

Obesity is a chronic inflammatory condition: adipose tissue sustains low-grade systemic inflammation through the innate immune system and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Xeptiva’s technology is designed to modulate this inflammation and support functional recovery in overweight dogs, beyond weight management through diet and exercise.
